An intimate evening with Tyler Ramsey & Carl Broemel performing Celestun live at the Musical Instrument Museum — February 9, 2026.  Two guitars. Two voices. One room completely mesmerized til the end.

Here are some of the latest releases we’ve been listening to, loving, and living with.

If you’re someone who’s always curious about what’s new — across genres, moods and moments — this one’s for you. These are some of the most recent albums and singles that have stayed on repeat around here. Some made us smile, some hit us right in the heart and a few became permanent residents on our playlists.

And if you don’t have time to dive into every album and every song below, that’s completely okay. Life is full. But do yourself a favor and at least sample a few of these:

Elles Bailey’s “Starling,”

Tyler Ramsey & Carl Broemel’s “Celestun,”

Joji’s “Love You Less,”

Madison Beer’s “For the Night,”

Joyce Manor’s “I Know Where Mark Chen Lives,”

Dry Cleaning’s “Hit My Head All Day,”

Sault’s “Chapter 1,”

Searows’ “Dirt,”

Puscifer’s “ImpetuoUS.”

Even just one or two of these might hit you in a way you didn’t expect. And February 20th, Mumford & Sons release their full album Prizefighter — so maybe we can all press play on that together and see what it brings.

We’d also love to hear what you’ve been listening to lately, so tell us what’s new on your end too. Music is better when it’s shared. Plus, we may have missed some and would love to know any and all that is out there. 🎶🐾

🎸 Joyce Manor

Album: I Used to Go to This Bar Release Date: January 6 Type: Full Album

Genre:  Punk Rock / Indie Punk

Joyce Manor delivers that familiar punchy, emotionally honest sound we love. Our favorite tracks:

  • I Know Where Mark Chen Lives

  • All My Friends Are So Depressed

This album feels raw, relatable and cathartic — the kind of punk that still manages to feel personal.

🖤 Sault

Album: Chapter 1 Release Date: January 9 Type: Full Album

Genre: Soul / Funk / Experimental / Alternative

This album doesn’t sit neatly in one box, and honestly, that’s part of the appeal. It feels layered, intentional and sure of its own rhythm — the kind of project you listen to more than once and hear something new each time.

Our favorites:

  • Chapter 1 — This title track instantly grabbed us. It carries this gritty, slightly grungy energy that reminded us of the raw punch Cherry Bomb had back in the days of The Runaways. There’s attitude in it. Edge. A little swagger.

  • Good Things Will Come After the Pressure — This one leans into a subtle jazzy groove that feels reflective but steady — like it’s gently reminding you to hold on just a little longer.

There’s depth across this album. It moves between moods without losing itself and that kind of balance always stands out to us.

🌿 Tyler Ramsey & Carl Broemel

Album: Celestun Release Date: January 15 Type: Full Album

Genre: Indie Folk / Americana

We truly love this ENTIRE album (and I mean LOVE), but a few standouts for us:

  • Celestun

  • Elizabeth Brown

  • In the Willows

  • Flying Things

  • Garvanza

  • Sylvie’s Guitar

We had the opportunity to see Tyler Ramsey and Carl Broemel live at the Musical Instrument Museum just the other day — and somehow, it was even more incredible live than on the album. Smaller venue, perma-smiles on our faces and a well-deserved standing ovation at the end. The picture attached to this is from this night.

We’d never been to the museum before either, so walking through music history right before the show felt like a perfect pairing — a walk through time followed by a musical snack. Truly magical.

🎤 Elles Bailey

Album: Can’t Take My Story Away Release Date: January 16 Type: Full Album

Genre: Blues / Country Blues

We love the blues — all of it — and this album beautifully blends blues and country. The title track even gives us a little Janis Joplin energy, in the best way.

Our favorite tracks:

  • Can’t Take My Story Away

  • Better Days

  • Blessed

  • Dandelions

  • Tightrope

  • Starling

Starling touched us deeply and directly — the kind of song that quietly settles into your chest and stays there. The whole album is remarkable, but that track especially felt personal.

🌙 Joji

Album: Piss in the Wind Release Date: February 6 Type: Full Album

Genre: Alternative R&B / Lo-Fi / Experimental

Our favorite tracks:

  • Love You Less

  • It Only Gets Better

  • Past Won’t Leave My Bed

Love You Less has become a craving song — always in rotation, always welcome. It’s one of those tracks you don’t skip, ever.

🌊 Puscifer

Album: Normal Isn’t Release Date: February 6 Type: Full Album

Genre: Experimental Rock / Art Rock

Puscifer released Normal Isn’t on February 6, and the media has labeled it Experimental Rock or Art Rock — which feels fitting because it truly is… different. Unique beats. Unique sounds. Unique emotional shifts. Maybe that’s the experiment — stretching what “normal” even means in music.

Our favorites:

  • ImpetuoUS — especially the line:“We’re not the same, no need to be. Let’s make some waves.”We love that. And right after that lyric, the music almost subtly rolls like waves underneath it. It feels intentional. It feels powerful.

  • The Quiet Parts — this one feels cinematic. We could absolutely see it placed in a movie scene, carrying something heavy and reflective.

  • Mantastic — trance-like and hypnotic. We can’t fully pinpoint what draws us in, but it does. The off-beats. The layered production. The “My Man, My Man” backing vocals. It’s one of those tracks that just hooks you without asking permission.

This album doesn’t try to be easy listening — it invites you to lean in. And we respect that.

💃 Bruno Mars

Song: I Just Might Release Date: January 9 Type: Single

Genre: Pop / Funk

From his upcoming album The Romantic, this one gets you moving. Total pump-you-up, feel good energy with that signature Bruno smoothness.

🚗 Father John Misty

Song: The Old Law Release Date: January 9 Type: Single

Genre: Indie Folk / Alternative

This song carries a nostalgic, easygoing sound we love. It’s a good-day song, a driving song, a windows-down moment.

🖤 Dry Cleaning

Album: Secret Love Release Date: January 9 Type: Full Album

Genre: Post-Punk / Art Punk

This album comes with a side of humor, and we are here for it.

Favorites:

  • Hit My Head All Day (we laugh every time — and honestly, same)

  • Secret Love

  • The Cute Things (“…did she just say I’m sorry you were attacked by a dog?” 😂)

Her voice, the guitar riffs, the dry delivery — if you like punk with personality, this is a front-to-back listen that might also make you laugh out loud.

🤠 Zach Bryan

Album: With Heaven on Top Release Date: January 9 Type: Full Album (25 tracks!) Genre: Country / Americana

This is memory-filled music.

Our standouts:

  • Down Down Stream — storytelling at its finest (please go listen)

  • Runny Eggs — slow, emotional, with beautiful harmonica moments

  • Cannonball — a song about loss and honoring; deeply moving

  • Slicked Back — feels like if Tom Petty and John Mellencamp had a song baby (only, of course, very Zach Bryan)

  • Aeroplane — a slow-burn favorite

This album honors life, loss, and everything in between.

🪕 Mumford & Sons

Song: The Banjo Song Release Date: January 9 Type: Single

Genre: Folk Rock

The third release ahead of their upcoming album Prizefighter (out February 13). Alongside Prizefighter and Rubber Band Man, this track is uplifting and joyful — and we cannot wait to hear the full album.

💋 Madison Beer

Album: Locket Release Date: January 16 Type: Full Album

Genre: Pop / R&B

Favorites:

  • For the Night

  • Make You Mine

Both tracks would be perfect additions to a Valentine’s Day playlist — a little sexy, a little dreamy.

🌊 Searows

Album: Death in the Business of Whaling Release Date: January 23 Type: Full Album Genre: Indie Folk / Ambient

Our must-hear track:

  • Dirt — This song is soft, peaceful and permanently on our playlist. It feels like floating in a pool — holding you gently in sound. We’ve talked before about low beats per minute music and its calming effect on animals and humans, especially with aging — and this song is a perfect example. Nervous-system soothing. End-of-day exhale music.

  • Photograph of a Cyclone — her haunting voice makes the entire album a vibe.
